I have compiled a list of questions that I get on a daily basis. I hope the information below will help you in some way! If you don't see the answer to your question, feel free to email me.

I have terrible PMS symptoms, what can I do?
PMS symptoms can be a result of nutritional deficiencies, thus it is important to determine what they are for that individual. Once a food program has been put into place, the symptoms usually begin to clear up. I can help to determine what those needs are. Nutrition is everything and women are amazed when their symptoms begin to subside after just a short period of time. The body always responds to the right foods.

Why am I always so tired?
There are many reasons for fatigue; usually it's caused by malnutrition. Yes, even if you are overweight, you are considered malnourished. Food is fuel! If you are not getting enough of the "right" foods you are not filling up your gas tank, so to speak. Generally your diet is not providing enough fuel for the body to run efficiently. Maybe your not eating enough of the “right” fuel foods for your needs? Maybe your body has trouble breaking down carbohydrates or protein, etc. Also, some medications can deplete your body of critical nutrients that may not be compensated for by your diet. This in turn may cause fatigue as well. Water is also a critical nutrient for the body. People can actually gain energy by drinking more water. Your body needs water to prevent dehydration. Once dehydration begins the organs of the body do not function correctly. This situation causes the body to feel tired. There are too many reasons for fatigue to mention here, but it usually starts with malnutrition. I don't think this country sees itself as malnourished because so many people are overweight, when in fact, if one is overweight, as well as underweight, they are certainly malnourished! And as we know, this always leads to fatigue.

I can't lose weight, why?
There are many reasons why someone has a difficult time losing weight. I couldn't possibly list them all here. But, I can tell you that it is usually linked to malnutrition. By this I mean one usually isn't eating enough of the "right" calories. So many people, predominately women, come to me with this question, and when we go over their lifestyle, etc., I find that most have cut down on calories hoping to lose weight, when in fact their bodies have gone into the starvation mode. In other words, their bodies are hanging on to their weight instead of letting it go. That's how the body works. People are either afraid to eat, or they eat all the wrong foods. Yet, we need to consume enough calories so that our bodies can function properly. If we give our bodies what it truly needs, it will release all excess weight. So many people are truly afraid of food these days, yet we are the most obese country in the world! We need to change our minds about food. We needn't be afraid of the right foods, they nourish us, not cause us to gain weight. Look at the right foods for what they truly are; and that's simply fuel for the body! So learn to give your body what it needs, and it will balance itself out by losing the excess weight. We need to be re-educated about diet. We need to look at food in an entirely new light.

What types of foods should I eat to be healthy?
The answer to this question depends on your body's needs. Basically, there are 5 different categories of foods that the body needs due to the nutritional content such as fruits, vegetables, complex carbohydrates, proteins and the right kind of fats. Depending on several different factors your body will require different quantities of each of these categories. If we don't get all the required nutrients, simply put, we cease to exist. I prepare different food plans specifically tailored to ones needs and lifestyle, which can give them a well-rounded source of all nutrients they may need. This sounds simple because it is. One just needs to learn how much of what they need to accomplish whatever their goal or goals may be.

What type of supplements do I need to take to ensure optimum health?
Generally speaking, we all need a well-rounded supplement program. It's difficult to get all the nutrients we need today because of the mineral deficiencies in our soil, along with the enormous amount of pesticides used in our foods, air and water pollution, plastic toxicities found in our utensils, and drinking bottles, contaminants in our toiletries, genetics, and even our medications. For these reasons alone, we need to supplement our diets with the proper nutritional supplements for our individual needs. Not only that, let's say a person is taking a vitamin supplement like fish oil. They've heard on the media that they need to consume this in order to help with hair, skin, nails, and even cardiovascular integrity. But this individual has digestive issues, thus their body cannot utilize the fats properly, along with other nutrients from food or supplements for that matter. In this case they would be wise to take a different type of functional fat, or cease taking it at all until they have healed their digestive system. Otherwise, they are wasting their money and health. This is an example of what I look for when I meet with a client, whether they are complaining of digestive issues or not. It is also very important that we take a supplement that is made from the entire food source. Just because a supplement says that it is made from the whole food source doesn't necessarily mean that it is made from the entire food source, and it certainly needs to be! Vitamins and minerals are very complex. They need to be taken in their natural source in order to help the body balance itself. If they are synthetically made, they only deplete the body, certainly not restore it. So, in answer to your question, what your body needs really depends on your diet, lifestyle, age, sex, any illnesses, medications you may be taking or have taken, genetics and any synthetic supplements you may be taking. I can help you determine which supplement program is the right one for you and your family.
